Scope and Responsibilities

ADITO provides standard viewtemplates, layouts, actions, device variants, and accessibility-related behavior. A customization combines these building blocks for a business process. The customizer therefore decides how the task is presented, while the product documentation defines the behavior that each building block supports.

Standard behavior

The viewtemplate reference defines the component, its options, and supported interactions. The layout reference defines how views are arranged. The support matrix records device and accessibility status.

This is the starting point for a customization, not a guarantee for every use of a component. The status applies only to the documented purpose and configuration. A different purpose, layout, composition, or undocumented configuration benefits from a separate review.

A basis for each decision

For each decision, recording why the chosen component and configuration fit the task makes the rationale easier to share and revisit. One or more of the following can provide the basis:

  • The documented configuration of the selected viewtemplate or layout.
  • The documented status in the device and accessibility support matrix, for the intended use and supported configuration.
  • A review of the customized application on its intended device variants and with its required accessibility settings.
